Full Job Description

PNTA is seeking to a hire part-time Video Engineer to support our growing team and operations. All shifts are paid at a minimum of 4 hours and can vary from full days to 1-2hr requirements. Shifts are available every day of the week, during and after business hours. Since 1975, PNTA has served our local theater, nonprofit, and corporate communities through retail services, production rentals, systems integration, and event production. Our goal is to provide our clients with excellent customer service, clear communication, creative concepts for their productions, and flawless execution on deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining company safety standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines

  • Maintain excellent customer interactions when working on site

  • Understanding and utilizing proper truck loading and unloading methods for the safety of personnel and equipment

  • Displaying a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and kindness with clients and coworkers

    • Communicate with client, talent, project managers, on-site leads and grips regarding execution of agreed upon expectations of video equipment and operations.

    • Prioritize on-site work and direct crews accordingly

Qualifications


Essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings, afterhours, and weekends

  • Dependability and punctuality

  • Hard-working and self-disciplined

  • Able to work well independently as well as with others

  • Flexible, able to respond with calm efficiency to unexpected or challenging situations

  • Ability to:

    • Integrate VJ equipment

    • Utilize Resolume/video mapping

    • Construct, configure and manage video wall

    • Manage large format projections, including blaending, warping and focusing

    • Demonstrate knowledge of resolutions, codecs, aspect ratios, frame rates and HDCP

    • Operate switchers (Roland, ATEM and Matrix) and media servers (content management and playback)

    • Confidently route signal (SDI, ethernet, fiber, routing, scalers/converters)

    • Understand camera distribution and color correction

Preferred

  • Knowledge of local event services vendors

  • Familiarity with local venues and the Greater Seattle area

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
